I would highly recommend every web-developer to use the Google &quot;page speed&quot; extension for Firebug. It&#039;s very similar to the Yahoo solution (yslow), but still, much better - in my humble opinion.
The main difference, is that the Google tool, not only tells you what you need to do in order to speed up your page, it also tells you HOW to do it, and even provides you with specific links to relevant tools.
I&#039;ve managed to improve my homepage&#039;s score from 79 to 94 within half an hour using page speed.</description>
